I've been told that I slump a lot and my upper back always hurts wether I'm sitting or standing. I've had a problem with slumping since I was a kid even when I tried to sit up straight.

You can go to a Doctor and they can tell you But you're better off going to a chiropractor
Why you ask?
Because if you try ot figure it out with some at home intrument then you're not going to be 100% sure of the results
A chiropractor will be less expensive then a Doctor and they can answer specific questions and make you a treatment plan for the Pain. They will be able to determine if it's muscle issue, spinal curve, or any other type of back ailment there. They should also be able to treat it. They have all types of machines that can treat you with electrical impluses to treat muscles to Rollers and stretchers for you back pain relief.
A doctor will actually recommend you go to the chiropractor, which means please pay me a bunch of $ to tell you to go somewhere else to treatment, So skip the Regular Doc

Go to a pain clinic and they can also tell you what is wrong with your back

Do you notic any type of spinal curves? spinal Bumps? Vertibrea issues.

I have had it since I was a kid, they tested me in elemantary and high school (the nurses they send in to gym class to test everyone in the grade) well they never showed anything wrong with me, Went to a chiroprator, they took one look at me and said I had it before they did any X-rays, they were right
