These must be two different Armies as most powerful may not be hi-tech.
Hi-tech is definitely American Army or any other Army assisted by America like Israel etc.
Being the most powerful Army is a different ballgame buddy.
Only the results establish the facts. If an Army can bring the most hi-tech Army to its knees, it is definitely more powerful than the hi-tech crowd which may be coward and fighting without any cause and motivation.
VN of seventies is an example. USA was totally hi-tech as compared to VN but who proved powerful at the end? Definitely the one who succeeded and forced the hi-tech people to pull back.

Hands down, it's the US. However, Iraq is an interesting proving ground that all the high tech in the world doesn't always give you the upper hand. The insurgents have applied the KISS concept against our forces and it seems to be working. IED's and roadside bombs have certainly taken their toll against our troops, and lately they have been knocking our choppers out of the sky.
Nothing that is used by the insurgents is necessarily high tech, but it sure is effective, and we have the casualties to prove it. So, maybe we need to concentrate a little less with our high tech capabilities, and start getting down and dirty with those who are doing all the damage. For those who are wondering about the KISS concept, it simply means: keep it simple, stupid!

As far as the most powerful I would have to say the Israelis, the most hi-tech probably the US but most are on about equal footing. As far as the Chinese, we saw in Afghanistan, Somalia, Vietnam, etc. that numbers do not mean you win any longer. If we ever resort back to pre-US revolutionary war days, i.e. just line up and shoot one another than yes China has a distinct advantage.

I think New Zealand ! The Maori Battalion ! Their fierce ! They decimated the English colonization thus forcing a truce and actually invented trench warfare in "the Moari Wars" and pressed ahead in the Middle East after the Australians were redeployed to the South Pacific in the war against Japan ! If there ever is WW111, IN WW1V they will become the next great Super Power. We just want to beat their **** in Rugby because it's embarassing when "little brother" wins !

Nevermind tech - the US is the most powerful considering our forces are armed with heart, pride, and love of country.

Depends!

the air can just drop bombs and everyone die.

Navy can just chill and be like fire another missle like 500000000000 miles away.

To tell you the truth, no one is. If someone have H2o Bomb and atomic bombs, like 600 plane carry it, and is ready to aproach a country, no way.

But for real, I think the China has it cause the population. 5 fist can kill 1 fist.

Dispite quantity, China's army sucks compared to the U.S. Our soldiers are trained longer and better, plus they have better equipment.
