Don't really know what you are asking here, but a catenary wire is used to support cables when they are installed.

it is usually a steel cable to which you attach your sheathed copper cables. These can be used to suspend cables between poles or above false ceilings etc.

If it's a production cde it may be a cable with a built in catenary wire to support the cable.
