It is never okay, you got that. Never ok, ok?
I kid. I think you should get to know the chap before you two commit. Why are you in a rush?

Yes, it's fine to ask someone out. However 'boyfriend' status is not something that comes with the first date. That takes time. The relationship needs to develop.
Get over the shy bit. It might be cute, but you waste a LOT of time.

Hey Stranger, Well you should first off start as dating, then if all works well you should then ask to be serious. I tried what your thinking about and It didn't work out like I thought now. And I hear that most guys like it when a girl ask them out because it should that they have confidence in themselves so go for it, but i suggest that you date first and then when you feel the time is right you should ask him out.
Good Luck!

Asking for a date or getting to know someone is a great idea. Go for it. Asking someone to be your boyfriend is being a little to sure of yourself, what if he doesn't feel the same way, then what. Get to know him to see if you want him to even be your boyfriend.

Not a problem. How about NOT putting a label on it, or trying to define it. I would approach him and tell him how you honestly feel feel. "I think your hot. You make me feel all gooey inside." Whatever it is. I know it's risky to be vulnerable and embarrassed, but you will feel a lot better after it's done. Then if you find out he has similar feelings, then you can call it whatever you want.

LOL...if you can feel that same feeling from him...you know...the glance or the smile or the nervous red face....than go ask and get it over with. you don't even have to be boyfriend and girlfriend...just be friends for a little while so the stress of relationship is not there yet...but don't let it get too friendly or that is what it will be forever...friends...cause then you won't be able to kiss your friend....savvy?

I think asking him would be very precise & to the point! "Hey I like you and want to get to know you and I want to be exclusive." If you get to know each other & you don't end up liking eachother....then the term boyfriend will no longer exsist in this situation.
I think it's just fine to do!!
Best Wishes!

One of you is going to have to make a move at some point in time if you want to be together. It's okay in my opinion.

Hang the title in the closet and enjoy the time you spend together. The comfort will just happen. Then he will just ask you. Don't ask him.
