A old lady sat at the kitchen table balling in her tears. There appeared a little girl across from her, she stopped crying and began to stare at the little girl. The little girl looked down and began to smile and she asked the old lady "why do you cry" and the old lady did't respond but she kept on staring at the little girl. The little girl looked up at her and said "don't cry, my time is up and you have to let go" The old lady began to laugh " Ha that's foolish, I can't" The little girl began to cry and she told the old lady "I've been abused all of my life, even raped. If I'm willing to let go. Why can't you?" And the old lady put her head on the table and began to cry louder. When she finally lifted her head back up the little girl stood right beside her. The old lady wasn't startled the little girl opened her arms and the old lady gave her a hug, and told the little girl that it was going to be alright. A few minutes later the old lady's daughter walked in and found her dead

The child was the soul of the older woman beckoning her to abandon her ego ("die to the ego"). When the older woman embraced her soul, she abandoned her ego and the two merged in "death" (to the ego).

I assume that the little girl was actually the old woman when she was little telling her to let go (not be afraid of death) and when the old woman hugged the little girl (accepted death) she died....Sad. Cool Passage.

It could be that the little girl represents the old woman's inner child, or inner self and she is having a conversation with herself. Or it could be that the child represents Christ or the old woman's guardian angel, but I would guess the first one if I had to.
