I have a 8 month old blue heeler. We kept her inside for the first few months with our other dog, but we cannot get her to house train. We have had to keep her outside because she is ruining the carpet (we have a nice yard, a large doghouse and visit with her daily, she's not mistreated outside). I would really love to have her back inside with us, heelers are known to be hard to train, but I know it can be done. Any suggestions?

I would recommend 2 things 1 when from homw out dog in crate 99% of the time they wont potty in their "house" 2. Before you take him.her out put a bell on your door handle and ring it. the dog then associates that noise with potyy and eventuttly if will learn hey if i wring this bell i get to go outside , I have trained all me 3 "heathens" with the bell and crate method worked/works great for me. good luck
