It's never too late to learn to write in any way you desire. Just practice the cursive letters you wish to use repeatedly, until they become perfectly formed and second nature for you to write that way.

Actually, you're at the age where neurons in your brain are still being connected and interconnected at a feverish pace. So, just like anything else with repetitive tasks, you can train your hand to do cursive strokes. If you do it LONG enough and with determination, you are essentially trying to make the connections in your brain to be "trained" to do cursive writing.

Very much like, that before you know it, you know how to ride the bike without training wheels. Of course, you know very well that you had to have some scrapes and bruises, before riding a bike "on automatic".

Same thing with repetitive handwriting, So, you are fine to start doing cursive handwriting. No sooner, you will discover that you are not even aware writing in cursive strokes.

And even if you cannot commit to it now, there is nothing to prevent you from trying even in mid thirties. I did not know how to use the calculator by TOUCH, till I was in my thirties.

Like any skill, you can learn this at any age. The key is to
find a good guide and practice. When I was in grade
school, they used to have workbooks with the cirsive
alphabet in upper and lower case and you practiced
making each letter many times. You can probably find
those types of guidebooks online somewhere, then just
practice until you can write smoothly in cursive.
They actually had a scientific study that noted that
students who wrote in cursive instead of print did
better in school. It doesn't hurt to try.

Absolutely, no question about it!

The human brain is has "plasticity" features will allow you to learn and re-learn various things, including handwriting style.

The first thing is to not get yourself down because you have not learned yet - really it's no big deal...

Next step is to find a nice cheat sheet for cursive handwriting so you can reference it during the next step

Here is a link to all the downloads you will need....

P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E makes perfect - the brain's memory works best with practice and repetitions.

Best of Luck - You can and will do it!

You can change your handwriting anytime you want to any style you want. The only problem with that is your "signature" when you begin to sign legal documents after you turn 18. There should be some consistancy so that your signature is basiclly the same. I highly doubt that Doctors always had such bad penmanship. Your style changes with age.

yup. definitely. at sixteen you can change anything you want to in your life.
as far as handwriting goes, you just need to practise and soon enough you will get the style you want. I changed my handwriting when I was at uni (unconsciously) and again when I started work, which is the handwriting i have now.
