Ask yourself what have I already done in the past with her? Don't Do the same things that you've already done with her because that isn't a Super memorable thing, unless you are going to start out with something normal as a trick that leads her into something else very special that way she isn't Expecting it.

What kind of things does she like.... wait I mean LOVE?

Does she want it to be personal and just the 2 of you Or would
she prefer a Dramatic Public Proposal?

Where do you live, and is there anything comming to your home town, or a surrounding town that interests her?
If you find something she would love to Go see Like a Play, Magic show, something not just like a normal ball game setting. Call the place and see if they can arrange some type of Public Proposal.
Here's an Example..... If a magic Act is in town. Take her, Tell her you Need to go to the bathroom or do something that will take a while and pre-arrange for them to ask for an Audience Member (which they would pick her) then have them Poof you onto the Stage with some type of Magic trick while you're Dressed in a Suit with a Rose and the ring in hand which will surprise her ,,,then just ask her in front of Everyone BUT Make sure she is the type that can do the Public Proposal. this would be horrible if she got upset or Embarrassed about it.

A private Proposal would be in an itimate setting, just the 2 of you with advanced planning a must. Make sure you have baby Sitter for the whole Night (that way if the plans Run behind you're not rushing to ask her by a certain time) Think about what her interests are then plan around her special likes.
Is there a certain place the 2 of you go that is special to both of you? A park, restaurant, If so, then you could take her to the place, arrange for some Food, wine, chocolates, something nice, to arrive and Pop the Question.

Where was your First date 6 yrs Ago? That might be special because it was so long ago that it shows you have a great memory of the 1st time you saw the girl you'll spend Forever with.

You could try a game and see where it leads her. Make a plan to propose at a certain spot (you choice like a park, down town, somewhere special) then make several instructions for her to Follow. Place a Note next to her so when she wakes up, she'll see it on your Pillow, the note will say "go to the kitchen" where she'll find the Next note next to her b-fast set out for her (some nice food she loves but make sure it won't be cold and gross by the time she reaches it) Your next note will take her to the bathroom where she'll Find a nice Bath Salt and Roses so she can get Ready for the Day (make sure it say something like dress nice or something) the note in the bathroom will lead her to the Next note in a place out of the house to the store or something to pick up an item that will Completely throw her off (like pick up some Q-tips or oranges) then at the store (leave note at store so you want it to be a familiar place and talk to the worker there , they might even let you hang a banner with the next instructions on where to go)
Or have the note lead her to a Random spot in town where she has to search for the note (but not to hard) And when she finds the note there will also be a small something special like a love note with it or something she really loves. The next note will have her go to the place where you are going to Propose, and Let the Magic happen ( you don't want to have too many notes outside the house so she doesn't get Aggrivated, Noone wants a pissed off bride to be running around and by the time she reaches you, you want her to be Relaxed yet wondering what is going on)

Also, you might want to Take her out of state on a trip to some place she has been wanting to go see for a long time and Ask her there.

Don't do it on Valentines day......that's kinda cheap and lame.

Hope that Triggers some Ideas for you
GOOD LUCK!

Literally, in an enchanted fairy tale-like place with all the beautiful wild mountain@meadow flowers, with a soft-flowing cascade in one side, at dusk, of garden setting, with beautiful scented candles, some wine, (please choose the main@accessory menu, as I've never been exposed to dating, even once, at restaurants, of a romantic nature, but just a phony official one with a fake-hearted boss). A fresh rose, and diamond ring (not a pearl, as I'm allergic to pearls. Diamonds look like mirrors and I'm told it has a lucky charm of repelling evil and negative energies, because like a mirror, it repels back what's projected at it). After the light meal, take a walk in the heart of the forest with all friendly creatures@crickets. Take a stop at Forrest Gump's trees, and gaze upon the horizon, to have a catch of shooting stars. You may not speak too much, for silence and soft whispers has a kind of romantic touch. Hold her hand, so she feels connected with you. Press the rose to her heart, so she knows that love is sweet fragrance, and it will be the first time she'll be pricked by its thorns, for a rose without a thorn is never a rose at all. Stay close and gentle to her, for she will find comfort in the coziness of your warmth. You may kiss her and do whatever more, if she's already within the fortress of your arms. You go on walking.... till you reach your home. She just follows, for she's madly in love with you, and knows pretty too well that it's really you she loved. How romantic it is there in the forest, will also reflect how romantic it will be in your sweet room. That way, you could get her to marriage. But remember, don't steal her away, or from a gentle little Angel, she'll suddenly become an irate tiger.

That you may be able to allure her to what you'd most one thing liked to do, play her some soft music, romantic in nature, most especially a love song, as it is her weakness. (Please be advised, to all listeners, that there's no other word than "love" why it's been so overused to describe and true deep meaning of sincere affection, and so, please don't make short circuits, or I'll appeal a lightning from the skies to strike, whoever misinterprets!!!)

When dawn comes, you'll know she's real, and not only a dream! So you're in for the long journey home, beyond the horizon, where true love waits, poetically!*

How exciting. But it's hard to make suggestions without knowing you or her. Think of something personal, that you know would be special to her. Is she into sports? You could do the whole proposal on the stadium screen thingy...do you have a special restaurant you guys like or another memorable place that's meaningful? Here's a good example of a personalized proposal that one of my friend's had...her and her boyfriend were neighbors growing up. They used to always meet up at this stop sign on their block when they had plans to hang out. Years later he stole the stop sign (I know that's illegal) and gave it to her on Christmas, then proposed. So anyways, you get the point. Something personalized will be the most romantic thing you could do.

I agree with the other people that said to do something that's personal to the two of you. Getting your kids in on it would also be special. Here's a personal story... maybe it'll give you an idea: My best friend and her boyfriend met on the beach. They dated for a few years and were finally moving in together, but hadn't decided on how to decorate the spare bedroom yet. One night she came home from work to him sitting on the couch watching tv. He told her he had bought some pictures for the spare room.
In the spare bedroom he had hung 3 different frames. The first was a picture of the street sign of the beach that they had met at. In the second, he had written, "I love you" in the sand and taken a picture of it. In the third, he had written, "Will you marry me?" in the sand and taken a picture of it. When she turned around, he was in the doorway on one knee with the ring in hand.

Awwwww so nice.... Everyone is doing it on Valentine's Day why not catch her off guard the day before so that your Valentine's Day is that much better. Why not have her friends there. You can all go clubbing and a nice restaurant and you can pop the question when the waiter brings out her her food... on her plate but instead... it's a ring. All her gf's will envy her. You will be the talk of the night and she will give you a V day you will never forget!

SKYWRITING!! Man that's how i wanna b proposed too lol. But my step mum said they don't do that anymore because of pollution. Maybe one of those planes that carries a banner. Get your kids to be involved because i'm sure they are a big part of your life. Maybe take her to a beach and write it on the sand (make sure it's not going to be high tide soon). Hot air balloon (don't drop the ring). Or cook her a lovely meal, get down on one knee and do it the traditional way! She'll love you for it! I'm sure she already does! Don't do it on Valentines day, too predictable!

since she wants something big, go big. Skywriting airplane, maybe, or if she's into sports, get on the videotron at an event. if that's a little too big, do a treasure hunt - hide lots of little clues that eventually lead to the ring presented in a special box. and don't forget the flowers!

Take her to the car wash! j/k

You have to do it right! Cause she'll tell the story to old friends and new. You'll hear it all... the... time ...

I took my girlfriend to Bruges, Belgium. A medieval city surrounded by a moat. It has castles, museums and windmills. I proposed to her at a park in a gazebo with a pond that had swans in it. It was perfect.

I took my girlfriend to New York ( she loves NY). While there, I'd notice every now and then that we couldn't see many stars. I kept telling her that every now and then to set her up. One night, we went to a nice restaurant, a show on Broadway, then took a carriage ride through Central Park. During the ride I noticed again that there weren't many stars, then pulled out the engagement ring and said "Let's add a few more." She was speechless.
