I use Nero. I think there is a trial version you can download. You will need a DVD drive that can write DVDs. There are several versions of this. DVD -r and +rw and there is a write/erase version too. Movies use a DVD -r. I have not burned a movie myself but I have burned an ISO Linux image and made data backups.

well, you need a dvd burner, a software to copy dvd (like DVD shrink +DVD devrypter, both are free, or the software suite Nero). That's all.

What you want to do is called "ripping". It's what you do to get the video/data off a dvd onto your hard drive as standard video formats like .avi .mpeg. .mov, etc.
Look for Dvd Ripping programs through Google or another search engine and you should find something you can use.

i think you mean "how to rip dvds to pc compatible formats"
1. install a ripper software such as imtoo dvd ripper
2. open your dvd disc from the software "add" button
3. select destination formats you want
4. click "rip"
heres a guide link: http://www.sharewareguide.net/article/Guide/step-by-step-guide:-how-to-rip-dvd-to-hard-drive-and-convert-vob-file-to-avi.html
