Well my future husband and I are going to Hawaii ( Honolulu) in March 12-16. What stuff do you recommend that we do we will arrive on monday at around 11:30 and leave friday about 3:30, we are open to any suggestions. We are staying at the Hawaiian Hilton Village. We want to explore Honolulu but keep it at a reasonable price. Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks.

I didn't spend too much time in Honolulu on my honeymoon but we did make it a point to go to Pearl Harbor. I was never in to history but what a "sobering" experience. If you get there before 10 or 11 it is free. The downtown area is not much except for traffic and a great Planet Hollywood. Stick to the beach. If you plan on going anywhere that includes using the interstate leave EXTRA early they honestly have ALL DAY bumper to bumper traffic. You can also take a island hopper over to one of the other islands I suggest Kauai or Maui...BEAUTIFUL ! Enjoy.

Two great, really inexpensive things to do on Oahu are climbing to the summit of Diamond Head and taking a catamaran ride off Waikiki Beach. I have done both of those things more than once and I still love them just as much as I did the first time! You will need to catch The Bus to the foot of Diamond Head (it's $2 each way per person) unless you have a rental car, which I don't recommend if you're staying in Honolulu. (There's no need for a car as everything is within walking distance and parking is expensive at the hotels!) I don't remember there being a charge to do the hike, but there may be a small fee. Be sure to bring water with you! It gets hot on the trail. Easy trail though; well marked with lots of guard rails along the way. As for the catamarans, you will see them up and down Waikiki Beach -- they leave every 90 minutes or so and they're usually skewed so that one is just leaving as another is coming in and a third one is mid-way between the two. It's usually about $15 per person for a one-hour cruise. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available on board and it's just gorgeous. The water is really clear even when you're several hundred yards offshore and you can see all the way to the bottom. I've even spotted green sea turtles (honu) from the cat! The wind and spray are great -- sit up front if you can find a spot.

Have a great time! Aloha :)

I was just in Honolulu over Christmas and there are tons of things to do. If you want discount coupons, you can go to Hilo Hatties, it's this store that sells a bunch of Hawaiin stuff. Personally, I thought it was a bit of a tourist trap since you could buy a lot of the stuff they had there cheaper at other places. However, they do give you this big thing with coupons, and a free shell necklace! LOL. Obviously, go to the beach. The water is amazing. And if you're really daring, take a surf lesson. There's quite a few places on Waikiki that offer them. If you're up for a hike, then you should go to Dimond Head. If you wanna go sucba diving, check out Hanuma Bay. It's really worth it. And of course, if you wanna go shopping, there are tons of stores. I'd recommend checking out the International Market, Aloha Center, and Ala Moana mall. I also went on a dinner cruise. It was a little pricey, but we got to see a hula show and even a whale! Basically, just enjoy yourself and have fun!

Jump in the ocean to wake up and acclimate to the time zone
Walk up Diamond Head Crater
For foood follow Rachel Ray's frugal dining: the buffet at the Shorebird Beach Broiler & a Bento Box Lunch at the North Shore Okazuya.
Other options: Eggs & Things, Sam Choy's, John Dominis, Roy's, Rainbow Drive Inn,
Drink some Kava at the Kapahulu Kafe (URL below)
Around sunset, go hear live Hawaiian music at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort (formerly the Hawaiian Regent).
Visit 'Iolani Palace (the only official state residence of royalty in the United States)
Go to the "Pali Lookout" and other vistas (URL below)
Visit the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor
Take a drive up to the North Shore of O'ahu
Visit Ala Moana Shopping Center (HUGE!)
Drive to Makapu'u on the East side of the Island
Visit Chinatown (adjacent to downtown) and eat some delicious food, see some amazing sights, and buy some beautiful lei!

LOTS to DO!!!

As for coupons, they've got guys handing them out all over the streets of Waikiki. The free magazines are loaded with them too.

Don't spend too much time in Waikiki. You can find coupon books in stands on the sidewalk in Waikiki. Take a drive around the island and see everything.Go to the windwardside and rent a kayak or go windsurfing off of Kailua beach. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a must. It will take a whole day to see everything then theres a luaau and an awsome show at night.Check out www.hawaii.com and see what else there is to do there. Congratulations and have fun.

First, go eat breakfast at Eggs and Things right down the street from your hotel. Go early. Then drive to the North Shore, stop at the Dole Plantation, for a quick visit, then head to Haleiwa and have a shave ice at Matsumoto's. Get it with ice cream. Get in the car and drive through town heading North. There is a little beach just outside of town on your left. I don't know the name, but if you blink you will pass it. If you find it, it will be the highlight of your trip. If you are lucky, there will be turtles right on the beach! Do not bother or touch them, but be sure to bring your camera.
That is my perfect day in Oahu.

Hawaii had a good year, but they run a gimmick offense which might work or might not against Georgia. Georgia will easily be the most talented team Hawaii has faced this year, and I see them runnig roughshod over the Rainbow Warriors, but I really hope that Hawaii shows up and plays well.

Oahu offers a ton of stuff to do while visiting there. If it is your first visit to Hawaii be sure to check out a Luau. The Oahu Sea Life Park Luau is kewl. It is a Luau at a sea park with an all you can eat buffet and you'll see a dolphin show too. It is on wednesdays.

From ATV tours to snorkeling and swimming with dolphins, Oahu has alot to offer.

What activities do you guys like to do?
