I had my beauty shop gal do something once. It was sort of a coloring, a colorless coloring. It did look nice for a while but then faded. For awhile, however it was really shiny. I loved it.

advertiser's use gimmicks to get you to buy their product. some work and some don't. depends on the person's hair type.
but if you want really nice soft, shiney hair? you could do a Vit.E. treatment.. using Vitamin E. 1000iu oil. you comb it thru your dry hair, making sure to get the ends oily. then, although this part makes you look funny for a half hour or so, it is what makes it work the best. or it won't have the same effect as it should. and that is you put a plastic bag over all your hair and head.. sealing in the oils. and then you either use a hair dryer for 20 min. straight, or use a blow dryer for 1/2 hour straight. once you have heated the oils into the hair. then you wash it out. some people have a hard time getting the oils out because they either had real thick hair and didnt need so much. or they had real fine hair and used to much. the oils are best if saturated at the ends more then the roots... once you do this treatment, you should have nice shiney and manageable and soft. pretty hair. its a wonderful treatment that lasts, and works well.

I don't think it really works. We're talking about really healthy hair that they show on TV, the same way they try to confuse people with the weigh loss programs and such.
Anyway, a good way to get really shiny hair for a while at least, would be to do a clear semi permanent treatment. It would give your hair alot of shine and adds alot of nutrients to your hair, but you will have to do it again in about 3 months or so.

Using a "glaze" keeps you from having to apply product every day.
Kenra makes a silkening gloss that good for daily usage. Also, using a toumberline ceramic ionizing iron will also give a sheen without all the damaging effects of the typical hot irons.
Healthy hair starts from within...Water, vitamins and beauty rest.

Always remember that images these days, whether they are stills of video, are enhanced digitally. There are plenty of programmes with which you can manipulate images and visuals, to make products and people - or hair - more appealing. I have seen similar ads, and I can tell your for sure that these images were manipulated. Yes, the stuff makes you hair shine, but most of the shine comes from computer programmes.
This means that, whenever you compare yourself to one of these pretty girls in the magazines, keep in mind that their flawless looks are also a result of manipulation. They are pretty, sure, but everybody has flaws, moles, little lines, scars etc.
Anyway, to answer your question: raw egg makes you hair shine just like beer and mayonaise (because of the egg, probably).

I'm not sure which product you're refering to. However, if you use a decent conditioner try leaving it on your hair for as long as possible. After you've rinsed it off, if you can, rinse briefly in COLD water.
A product that I use, which as its name suggests, does make hair glossy is John Frieda's Satin Shine. It'sa cream. You only need to use a very small amount, too much makes the hair look greasy...not the desired shine!

Hair is protein filament that grows through the epidermis from follicles deep within the dermis. Vitamin E is supposed to help a lot in hair problems. Daily massage ur hair with good hair oil and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.

I haven't heard of it. When I want my hair really shiny, I spray on Biolage shine spray. And I think there is something (a gloss?) that you can have done at the salon that will make your hair shiny.

Wash your hair.
Rinse with 2 Tablespoons of cider vinegar in cold water, not lukewarm COLD WATER.
You hair will not smell like vinegar.
Also don't dry with heat.
