Death in war, would it be immoral to defend yourself, even if it meant having to kill your attacker? When the entire population of the world believes that war is unjust then we can outlaw it I suppose. But as long as people are going to kill thousands of our countries citizens, then I think we have to fight, and that means we will have to kill. Abortion is not self defense, or protecting your life, property, or anything else. I will make an exception for those who would be endangered by carrying the fetus till birth.

This topic is so widely debated, and so very frustrating.I am two sided on this. I don't think that it should be legalized, making it widely available to irresponsible woman or shall I say girls who consciously chose to have sex, and become pregnant. I believe that young girls are doing that more frequently these days. I also don't think that woman who are incapable of parenting should bring children into the world because it is so hard for the child to find a place in the world. Our country is so protective about rights, and allow people to bring children into the world, only to end up being beaten and killed. I don't think abortion is a correct way of dealing with it, but women these days are having multiple abortions and getting away with it.
I also have to say that as a woman who has been the victim of rape, I do not believe that if I were to have become pregnant as a result of it, I could raise that child. I know that it would not be the child's fault but those memories haunt you, and the child would be a constant reminder. It would be unfair to the child to bring it to term, and then have feelings like those, or to give the child up for adoption would the child understand later on....no just end up having a damaging image of them self.

I stand very undecided on the issue of abortion.
I do know that abortion is definitely morally wrong.

Nope. Because only the mother can know whats right. There are always exceptions.

And you have no right to tell a 10 year old girl thats been raped by her father that she has to give birth to the incestuous child. NONE.

Nor do you have any right to tell a woman that she MUST give birth to the child born of a gang rape.

Honestly, I don't know what is wrong with people that they can't think about this stuff or put themselves in the mothers place.

Its the mothers life thats affected the most. And the mothers life is an already established one. The embryo is ONLY the potential for life. It takes more than a beating heart to be alive. Much much more. And there are much much much worse things than death.

The claim that abortion is murder is still *very* debatable--it certainly is not in legal terms. As for war crimes mandating murder... I'm a little hazy on that part. Do you mean, by executing those found guilty of war crimes?

I share the conundrum, so I can't "enlighten" you, except to say that surely there is a less political, emotionally charged and judgmental way to phrase the question. The fur starts flying and you don't elicit thoughtful answers...Sorry to be judgmental lol, because it is a very pressing and legitimate question.

I bealive Abortion is moral in cases of incest, rape, or if the child will be born deformed, or if the mothers life is indangered by the birth. Otherwise abortion is cold blooded murder. But as far as war crimes I think you are full of crap.

Jehovah God is the Source of life. All living things owe their life to God. (Psalm 36:9) Life is sacred to God. Even the life of an unborn child inside its mother is precious to Jehovah. To kill such a developing baby on purpose is wrong in God's eyes.-Exodus 21:22, 23; Psalm 127:3. No-one has the right to take life only God can do that for he is the one who is the giver of life and can give it to anyone he sees fit.

No but anyone who chooses to have an abortion should be sterilized. And all children of unwed mothers should be also.
