I don't think that Christianity is afraid of other religions. I think that true Christians are afraid for people in those other religions. I'm a Christian and I believe that you can not be saved unless you believe and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. But I don't have a problem with other religions or atheist as long as they respect my beliefs. And I might share my beliefs with others but if they don't want to hear it, then I have done all that I can, and I back off. In the end we will all find out one way or the other.

Not sure where you get "afraid of other religions". Have you ever actually been to a Christian Church? My guess is: No. Christians actually accept that others have different beliefs or else we'd still prosecute Jewish people and non-christians. Every religious group has had their dark hours and has justified it in the name of religion at one point in time. I am not sure what era you are stuck in, but everyone in America has had for years now freedom of religion and Christians do not violate that right. We don't believe in trying to convince you about Christianity, we share our belief and pray that you may follow, not force you. Granted, there are fanatics and/or extremist out there, but they are found in every religion. I was raised Catholic and now am Christian by choice. I was born again at age 20 and it seemed at the time that my family had a big problem with me being a Christian and not a Catholic. Nevertheless, I am in no way afraid of other religions and neither are my Christian brothers and sisters.
What ever religion you are from, yes, you have nut jobs that make you and your congregation look badly, right?
God Bless You.

"I DO know that there is something in their doctrine about being the only true religion."
Um, which religion is it exactly that says they're not the only true religion? Last time I checked they all did.
Or, is there one that thinks they're the wrong religion? I bet they don't get many follwers.
Even universalists think they're more true than the others if you think about it.
'I accept all other beliefs as truth, to the extent that they say they are the only true religion. Actually, most pagans do. "
Which means you think your belief system is more true than the others. In that resepect, you are no better or worse than Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, etc.,
"And they say we worship their devil, go figure! "
I think most people know that Neopagans aren't Devil Worshippers.
In my own expirence, I had to block finally block my email because over zealous Wiccans wouldn't stop emailing me...because I picked an answer they didn't like. Does this means Wiccans are afraid of other religions and can't accept other people have different beliefs???

Christians aren't threatened by any other religions. At least this one isn't. I have my beliefs, and you can have yours. That's called Free Will. I DO accept that others may have different beliefs, but that doesn't affect MY belief.

No other religions impose themselves on Christian's rights... You notice they don't restrict other religions, just Christianity! in the USA.
Anytime someone cries foul... There could be a room full of Christians and one liberal atheist wannabe... The teacher has a Bible, Mein Kompf, and a Penthouse on a table... The Bible would be the only book removed.
You could have a guy come in and spew all sorts of obsenities, white bashing or black bashing rhetoric, or homosexual sensitivity training and the school board pays through the nose for it... You have a teacher say, "I ask that you respectfully honor a moment of silence for others to pray." All of a sudden a NATIONAL DISGRACE... FIRE THE TEACHER... COUNSEL THE CHILDREN... LAWSUITS...
Christianity is not threatened, it is being bashed by these other religions and being CHARGED taxes to have it done to them.

To the Christians beliefs that I grew up with, the devil is a part of every thing out side of the christian religions. Also those that experience the so called "God fearing Christians", seemed to fear god, the so called all loving deity, believe that they will go to hell if anything outside of this belief is supported.
As I went to church, there is fear spreading that everyone outside of the church is going to spread a genocide on the christian religion, and there reacting to this belief causes them to berate anyone whom they view as despising at them. It a part of their belief with the book of Revelations. So in the American society of victimization syndrome is popular, this is the way they play out their syndromes.
The other day, I had a friend whom was on his way to a buddhist center, when a christian came forth and asked if he had any time with him, and he said he was sorry but did not for he was on his way to go and mediate. This christian started yelling at him, and telling him that he hatted all Buddhist's and that he was on his way to hell, with angry emotion at him.
I do find this with all extremist of all religions of all beliefs, and I do feel sorry for there anger, which does them more harm then what they would like to believe, but I guess that's going to have to be O.K.

I am not nor are any other Christians I KNOW afraid of other religions. I am sure there are some out there, I just happen to not know any. My friend is Lutheran and she is scared of non-denominational Christianity, which I am. Other than her I have not met anyone "afraid" or not accepting of another religion.

Please don't stereotype the Christian religion. Some people out of any religion will be nuts about not accepting any beliefs of other religions. I don't know where you are getting your information or if it is just an opinion you've developed. I like some aspects of other religions, and don't like some of mine (christianity). One could turn that statement to work for any religion ... all have their faults, just like humans.

I am not afraid of other people who study other religions. I am a Christian and proud to be so but, would never judge someone else for what they believe. Your beliefs are your own. I believe everyone has their own way of thinking and that's OK with me.

I think you are talking about SOME Christian people. I am Christian and find other religions fascinating. I believe studying others beliefs helps me to question and understand my own better. I have encountered plenty of people who are not tolerant of other religions (whether they are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, etc.) and just brush them off as "one of them". These people usually believe they are right about everything, not just religion.
