Yeah, it is. I don't even have my wife's code for her cell phone, or email or anything. The reason I don;t have those or even want them is because I know that she wouldn't hide anything from me. Bottom line, if you can't trust him, you might as well just break up now, because your relationship will never, ever work if you don't.

Understand that he is not ready to tell you everything and let you completely into his life. If you are not engaged or married he has every right to do this and you should not be disappointed to find out that he may very well have other women leaving messages on that machine. But obviously, there are things in his life of some sort that he needs to keep from you, and if you want your relationship to grow, you WILL NOT, attempt to force him to let you into his secrets, until he is ready.

yes, it's fine. People need privacy, it doesn't matter how long they've been together. The only time I could see it as a problem, would be if you and your boyfriend are living together, and people leave messages for you on his machine.

well if you are going to control your boyfriend's life and you do not trust him then yes. But if you do trust him, why do you even need his answering machine code?

Yes, for the love of god! He doesn't want to be giving something personal out like that if he's not sure you will be together till the end. Don't push it either. It will kill the trust.
