I'm referring to these Hoodia, Trim Spa, etc... I have Hypothyroid, which really means I have no Metabolism, most of my weight is thru the middle, I also seem to crave carbs, and not the sweets. I'm not looking for a miracle. Just a little help! I know excise and diet are the key.

Hey there. Please note that unlike most people who have answered your question, I'm not going to lecture you on the benefits of exercise and healthy eating. OK, so where was I: you've already said you've got thyroid issues, so at least you've isolated the reason why you have issues dropping weight. That's a great start. Most diet pills and/or fat burners on the market these days share a common theme: they all come with a hefty amount of caffeine. Caffeine is a proven ingredient that causes appetite suppression and even helps increase metabolism to an extent. So, if you're not too sensitive to caffeine intake, then you will probably be OK. I'd also like to know what your typical diet is - send me an email if you'd like - because I'd like to know exactly what it is you eat on a typical day. The reason I'm curious is that different foods often affect people in different ways, and even the time of day you eat them can make a difference. Quite often the key is to find the foods which jive best with your body, and that can be quite a tricky thing. For example, I tend to limit my fruit intake more than most people but for reasons that I don't care to go into in this answer. Hoodia is something you may want to consider (straight hoodia has no caffeine).

hmm... i agree with most every one but hoodia does keep your cravings to a certain level.. so you can try than on top of excercise, drinking lots of water.. and watching what you eat.. hoodia has been proven to supress apetite so it could help you but not solve your problem.. as far as other pills.. i dont know.. but be careful a recent study shows that many pills that say have hoodia in it has either a different type of the hoodia cactus in it or has none... lol

if there's any advise i can give you it would be do not take these pills, because you dont need them, if you can fit in maybe a thirty minute walk into your routine a day ( be it walking to go get lunch ror whatever ) and before you eat, drink 14 ounces of water, and you'll see you cant eat as much, i also take this organic cleanser i get from GNC called Colon Cleanse ( the pill form) you take it half an hour before you eat, and it really helped me lose weight by creating bulk in my stomach and pushing everythig through, making me extremely regular.... also before you get too extreeme cut out something little everyday... like no mayo on your sandwich, or no ranch with your fries.... too be honest i lost seventy pounds by this formula - i am not sayig it will be easy but this is how i did it- no condimanets no sugar no bread barely anything proccesed... nothing but fruit, vegetables ( steamed only) and grilled steak and chicken and pork.... no cheese, and plenty of water before i ate, and i went from 200 to 135 so goood luck to you

The speed diet pills have not been evaluated for safety by the USDA. The chemicals in DNP, Phen-phen and Yohimbine lead to critical side-effects, including death for many who took them, usually without doctor supervision.

In addition to the quickie answers, diet and exercise, talk to your doctor and ask for a referral to a specialist on nutrition. That way, your health plan will cover you getting a specified regimen of advice catered to your particular metabolism. Each person's metabolic haplotype differs, so the efficiency of burning calories varies and the affinity of enzymes for particular targets. A good doctor should be able to help you hone in on foods to take and ones to avoid. Warning: many foods they recommend may not seem palatable to you. That's when it becomes your choice to be what you eat or overcome what you'd like to eat what you should.

There are no magic pills to lose weight. The only way to lose weight is to exercise more and eat less. (Increase calories burned and decrease calories consumed.) If you don't wake up starving, then you ate too much the day before. Good luck.
