How long have we got?

I'll say China because of their economic progress and output. China and India are projected by the UN to have the strongest economies within 10 years. They are currently making strong inroads into Africa, where they are constructing villages, hospitals, dams, and other projects at no cost to the host governments. This will make them very influential in the future. Also, they can have a readily available standing army of 196 million. They are also a nuclear power. The world can anticipate a showdown over Taiwan in the next decade, especially if Taiwan declares itself independent from China. That will be the major test between the US & China in the future.

We will have a bit of a continuing retrograde for a decade or two more I would say,but in the end we will end up taking our proper place again,it's inevitable. Our system breeds advancement and innovation which has been the secret of our success. The only way we fall is if we continue too far down the liberal path where achievement doesn't matter if it gets in the way of "fairness" or if we continue down this path we are on now where all that matters is the ultra rich. If we find some place in the middle where we were for decades then no one can compete with us.

Deep Blue True must have thought "our" meant Australia. Sorry, you're not a super power.

China would be the one to take the place of the US as super power. I'm ready.

A conscientious nation hopefully. Unlike the USA is at the moment. If, for arguments sake, China had been more outwardly looking 500 years ago we would be speaking mandarin now.

China. Too late, with their comrade's help (the democrats) they are there now. They are the most feared nation on earth. I mean here is a nation that cares nothing for it's own citizens, what chance does anyone else have?

I'm thinking China or India. But--no offense to them--I hope we can regain our footing and keep the title for a long time yet.

The only possible candidate could be China and things would need to change in a big way for that to happen.

All of the middle east, China, India, they all depend upon the economy of the USA.

Oh whoever thumbs down.. please offer evidence to the contrary.

To late, China's already a supper power and Korea's coming up the rear!

America has as long as it supports Israel, as soon as it abandons supporting Israel it's all over but the dying. Only takes one well placed missle to wipe out America's technology and plunge it further into anarchy and third world status
