Yes you can get her fixed. AS for the guy who said that every time a dog is pregnant it takes a year off her life, 12 is a good age for a pit, they are a large dog and 10 is the avg.

Yes you can and it would be better for her health to be spayed.
To avoid any complications request a preanaesthetic blood work up to be done - this will tell the vet how her kidney and liver function is - if either of these are not functioning well then anaesthetic is more dangerous and could force her into kidney/liver failure.
If her kidney's/liver are fine then request that she is put on intraveous fluids this will help her kidneys and keep her blood pressure up during surgery reducing the risk.
At this age an entire female runs the chance of developing pyometra which is a deadly infection of the uterus.

yes you still can get your dog spaded, but it is possible that your dog is not going to live long, because every time your dog has puppies it takes more then a year out from it life. that is why it is good to get your dog spaded at the earliest age you can get your dog to the vet.my dog had about 8 litters and she was only 6 years and that is only my fault, so if you was smart you would of got her spayed at the age of 6 months of age, i know if i had her still i would of had you spayed at that age, i would wont her to live longer, well i would like her to have one litter then i would have her spayed, so that i have at less one litter of hers. get your dogs spayed ASAP and if you keep one out your dogs puppies then you should get that puppy fixed, there for you have one of your dogs puppy that will live at less 15 to 20 years depends on what kind out dog it is.

Yea you can, but it could create some problems because she is old. But I would have her spayed because the puppies can come out deformed because of her old age. Also, having puppies over and over again really takes a toll on the mothers body. Good luck!

You ask this question as if your dog is a sleezy hooker that is always out whoring around.......you obviously know what causes it......keep the males away or get the dog spayed. I could and would never allow my dog the oportunity to accidentally get pregnant......especially not at that age......thats like getting barbara bush knocked up ...........

I commend you for taking care of your dog for 12 years, that is great. I shame you though for allowing your dog to breed. You should have been more responsible than that. How sad that such an old dog has to deliver yet another litter!

yes, you can have her spayed as long as she's of the right age.
