you dont have to get over it ,think about the good times and ask yourself would he be happy if he knew you were still grieving and sad, you can still celebrate his birthday by remembering him on the day or even visit his grave , he is at peace now and resting think about all the good times and dont worry he loved you and that will never change

You need to celebrate their life and remember the good memories you have of your time with them. You can celebrate their birthday by having a family dinner and everyone sharing their memories, it's a good way to spend the time. Try to not dwell on their passing so much as what they did and what they meant while they were here. I'm sure that is how they would want you to spend the time too.

itz been 5years my ex bf expired, i terribly missed me and i do remember him often in gud as well as bad times. Death is a part of livivng, his soul needed a different body which would help him start a new story and play his role. i was in the same condition as you are, but i read books of life after death and also started accepting that actually dont die we only shed this body away. i started accepting the truth and death a is actually very beautiful. if u keep remembering him you are not allowing him go and attend moksha, let him go. whenever we want to celebrate his birthday go to a religious place that u believe in and pray that his next life is beautiful and happy. that way you can help him.

Well, the way my grandpere died is going to sound a little funny, but he died because he was on an oxegon tank and him being his stubborn self decided to light a cigarette and he did. And the tank blew up.

Well, I believe you will never truely get ove a loved ones death. Over time you will just come to realize that you have to move on.
Just know that he's up there in Heaven looking down on you watching making sure you're the one who's safe now. (:

Your granddad would be sad to know that you are still having difficulty coping with his death. He would want you to think of him and smile as you remember all the good times you shared together.
