If you have time, you better start preparing soon...
Because, most of the time, its too late to start preparations.
But Big multinational companies take students from all branches and most of them don't ask the students for computer knowledge but for Aptitude.
Preparing for Aptitude exams like CAT for MBA helped me.
You can refer many books for certain specific topics and question areas asked repeatedly by the company (check out the company placement history in the net)
R.S.Agarwal is a good book to start with and provides for adequate Preparation to crack most of the Placement Exams based on Aptitude.
