A husband is someone that knows you and loves you for who you really are, he's your lover, but he's much more than that. He's your support system, your provider, protector, the father of your kids. Long after your looks are gone, he'll still be there because he loves YOU, not just your body. Or at least that's what a good husband is.
A lover is someone that you are very intimate with. Someone who is infatuated with you, maybe even obsessed with you. Your connection with him is emotional but not mental. You both focus on the here and now and don't worry about the future. This relationship is very fun and passionate, but also very temporary. As soon as the passion dies down a bit (and it ALWAYS dies down with time), he'll start looking for a better partner.
So to sum this up, a husband is your true life partner, your other half. A lover is a rollercoaster ride - fun and exciting, but gone the next day.

Well your husband or wife should be your only lover but this is not the reality. Plenty of married people stray for many different reasons. I'm unmarried as well:)

Husband can also become a lover(in very few cases). whereas lover need not to become lhusband. Love is much greater thing then looking after family commitment.
Husband is given by the society whereas the lover is given by the God and any thing given by the God has to be greater then every thing. This thought and the concept has the approval of my lover too. Lover loves his/her beloved one from the core of his/her heart whereas husband just carries on. Lover can secrifice his or her life for the beloved one. I think husband can not do the same.

If you are unmarried, you have a lover. If you are married, you have a husband, but he can also be a lover.

Husband is a lover promoted. A lover may love you, care for you, understand you; but he would never be 100% committed you. Promote him to a husband, give him some added perks and he would happily get along with his commitments.
