I would like to know the name of the decorator on the top of the window. It usually matches the curtain on both sides of the window.
Is it called skirt, panel, ...? Thanks a lot!

Valance is what I have always heard. There is one that goes over curtain or can be used alone. There are also one that is an insert valance which can be used if you have a really wide window and helps the curtains or panels fit better it goes in between the curtain or panel.

A valance is the small piece of material that goes in between the panels (the long pieces of material).

lol, it would be my fault for getting undressed in front of an exposed window. But I have done that by accident, trust me, it was not a nice view. A few years ago I was on the toilet seat going *poop, poop* I am sure he never wanted to look again! HA. That's what he gets for spying.
