In fact, the file has nothing on it. It has a name, and looks like a mpeg file, nothing else. When I open the properties, I can see the file name, but none of the other fields are populated. I am unable to do anything with this file. I can't delete it, I can't move it and I can't get it to play. Any ideas?

I've tried safe mode, and that doesn't work. Let's just say this is something I need removed from my computer. Also, I wasn't stealing, this was put on by the author.

Move the file into a folder if its not already and delete the folder and file should dissapear with it

Start limewire again and find the file then delete it through limewire

Make sure the programs not running (or your mpeg player) before deleting

first, totally close limewire. make the icon disappear from the system tray. then remove the file from the player's playlist if u had played the file and then delete it. also make a check in windows task manager for suspicious processes. and if this doesn't work, then transfer all ur important files from the main drive to d or e drive and then format it.the last option is the ultimate solution
