Yeah, if humans evolved in Africa, it would only make sense that they would've been fit for the environment, thus making them black. As humans migrated out of Africa genetic mutations made them different colors.

Adam and Eve are the first to be recognized as the origin of the Jewish people. There is strong possibility that the first people may have come from Africa and they came before Adam and Eve. One reason why Cain was so afraid to come out of Eden because of his fear that anyone who sees him might kill him.
The Book of Genesis talked about the male and female that God created along with the animals in the same 6th day. The account of Adam and Eve was differently stated since Adam was created before the animals while the animals were the first before the male and female. It would only mean that Adam and Eve created in later time maybe for the purpose of advocating One God Theory. Early men of the earth before Adam has all the elements of nature and the idea of many Gods as their object of worships. Africa and other nations has never been far from those practices of many idols worship.

As per the geographical description in Genesis chapter 2 verses 11 - 14, the location of Eden would have ranged somewhere between north eastern Africa and the Middle East. Adam and Eve could therefore have been black, but just as likely Middle Eastern.

As the ascendants of the human race, I like to think their genetic make up contained all the necessary information required to produce every variation of humanity as is present today. How that information was expressed in their physiological appearance can only be guessed...

I do not believe that humans began life in africa nor in one place for that matter nor do I believe that Adam and Eve were the first actual humans. They were most likely from Iraq so thier skin tone was most likely white but not necessarily so. I think there were different types of humans all over the world just like thier are different cats, dogs and the like depending on where you started from. I think we are a sister species of primates but not evolved from them.. Consider the squirrel. Canadian ones in Montreal are brown. The ones up north are Black. The ones in other parts of Canada are red. They are all squirrels, they just are different types of squirrels. We are animals just like every other animal on this planet and nothing more. The question really lies in what are animals and not what is life.

The Garden of Eden wasn't in Africa, however, for Adam & Eve to have had the genetic material for all the different ethnic groups in the world today to have descended from them, they would have had to be mulattos. I read this in a magazine article several years ago and cannot/havenot found anything to contradict it.

I believe the garden of Eden was located in present day Iraq. (Hard to believe, I know).
The different races of man were not established until after the Flood, so there's no telling what race the first man and woman were. The name Adam means ruddy or red, so maybe he looked like a Native American.

Well... supposing we did start out in Africa, it would only be logical that God would have made it so that we could survive. IE, making us black. If he spends all that time creating life, I think he'd put an appropriate color on his creation to protect it from harsh sun and wind.
