Short answer - No. Whether you are talking about a daughter or a son there is too much of an age and experience difference between 15 and 21. Anyone over 18 dating anyone under 18 can also put themselves in a precarious situation legally if they become sexually active.

But the bottom line is, that as a mother (and a former 15 year old), I know how much kid is still left the 15 year old. I want my 15 year old to enjoy his teenage years without having to be too much of a grown up yet.

I would not let you date a 21 yr old. When you are older, like 35, if you date a 45-50 yr old, that's OK because even though there is a big difference in age, once you mature you don't continue to mature. But when you are 15, a 21 yr old has a lot more experience and maturity. I wouldn't want to take the chance that he would talk you into having premarital sex with him and get you pregnant. I wouldn't want him talking you into drinking or trying drugs. I wouldn't like it if a 16 yr old did that to you either, but it is more likely to happen with an older boy. Don't rush your childhood. Enjoy it. Take great pride in yourself and respect yourself. Listen to your parents, because they've been there and they love you. If you read all of this, and somewhere along the line decide you want to have sex anyway, please protect yourself with birth control (the pill). Use a condom also to protect you from disease, but the pill will ensure you don't get pregnant. Don't get pregnant until you are married and have a real relationship with a man.

NO... as a matter of fact if I found out my 15-17 yr old daughter was dating a young man that was 21 I would call the police. If you are 21, you should be dating a girl that is 18,19, 20 or 21. Not taking advantage of young girls that don't know how to handle you. Cause that is exactly what it is.

No. I would not allow it, myself. My daughter is now 28. She did date a person at 16 who I thought was 18. He was in his young 20s. Ask yourself why a person who is 21 has an interest in dating a young girl? I think it might help you.

My daughter has always dated much older men, average 10years older. She was always of a more mature nature, but not at 16. I have been married for years to a man who is 15 years younger than I. But, I met him when he was an adult and acted like a responsible one. I hope, I helped a little.

Are you the guy who is phoning my daughter?????? If so, I want a word with you ....
No, I wouldn't want my daughter to go out with a 21 year old. My daughter should be interested in her schoolwork, her friends, and occasional boyfriend (nothing too heavy!). She needs to be with people that she has something in common with. What do a 21 year old and a 15 year old have in common?
Your music tastes are different, your friends are different, your lifestyles are different. It is hard enough bringing up kids today without having to worry about young men being able to manipulate a young teenager.

I had a daughter who was 15 and 16 at one point so I would say hell no. She is too young and he is too mature. He is an adult and can be charged with rape if they have sex. She is not mature enough to know what can happen with a 21 year old man. Don't let her do it.

I have a 15 year old and the answer is absolutely not.
21 year olds are much more experienced and I want my daughter to be able to be a child before she worries about fullfilling someone else's whims

The question is: why would a 21 year old guy be interested in a high school girl? Date college girls.
