With regular exercise and eating in moderation? 50 lbs or more? Or less than that?

You are right it is very different for everyone, as age, genetics and a lot of other factors play a part in how much weight one will lose through a strict diet and exercise regime. 50 pounds in two months is quite a lot as you would have to maintain weight loss of over 6 pounds a week which may or may not be feasible, again depending on the factors mentioned in my first sentence.

If you have not previously been exercising then a vigorous exercise routine (as vigorous as is safe) coupled with a healthy diet could see you coming close to your goal. It would at the very least be a fantastic start. You may notice you lose a lot of weight at first and then after awhile your weight loss seems to peter out - don't give up, just adjust your exercise routine and watch your diet. I reckon the best thing would be to give it a go and see what happens. Good luck

The most widely accepted benchmark for safe and healthy weight loss is a rate of about 2-3 lbs per week.

Major reductions in calorie intake can mess up your metabolism, body goes into starvation mode and will start to break down muscle tissue and others for energy, and all the health problems that generates.

It is recommended that you don't lose more than two pounds per week. So, in two months, that's about 16 or 18 lbs. Just be patient. Good night!

It depends on how much you weigh, but usually most will loss around 10 pounds in two months. Not 50 unless you are extremely overweight.
