I agree with Just Jess. The cheapest place is the Aloha Stadium - but only on ceertain days when the market is open. The next cheapest is the International Market. Don't forget that you can haggle a little at both of these places. Even without the haggling, the prices are still the cheapest for the same stuff you'll find at the ABC Stores and Hilo Hatties.

If you'll be there on a Wed, Sat or Sun you should go to the Farmer's Market at Aloha Stadium. You can find just about anything you'd want in the way of souvenirs, t-shirts, bags/luggage, Hawaiian jewelry, sunglasses, and the like. The stadium is near the Pearl Harbor Memorial, and there are several buses that go that way.

Hilo Hattie on Nimitz Hywy is their largest store and offers a wide range of Hawaiian apparel and gifts. Most Hilo Hattie stores have a Maui Diver's jewerly counter offering Hawiian jewelry made from pearls and coral.

ABC stores can be found all over Honolulu/Waikiki. They are essentially a large convenience store with snacks, beach goods (towels, air mattresses, sand toys), and souvenirs.

In Waikiki you should check out International Market place. It has shops and kiosks selling all kinds of stuff. There's also DFS Galleria (with a walk through aquarium).

Ala Moana Center, AlohaTower Market Place, Ward Center and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center are malls with designer shops and boutiques as well as chain stores and resturants. Hilton Hawaiian Village has several designer shops and boutiques as well.

Along Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki you will find all kinds of shops ranging from designer to t-shirt to souvenir. At night you'll find street performers doing hena tatoos, mime acts, performance art, and a balloon guy who can make almost anything (he's amazing).
