With some groups of kids it is "normal". Those are the kids that have no real life outside of some fantasy world.
It entirely depends on how much tv, how many hours on the computer, etc. My teenager typically watches 1-2 hours per WEEK of tv (tops) and spends MAYBE 1 hour on the computer per day during the school week, unless she is doing research for school.
She does homework, chores and is involved in sports.....and reads books. No, she is no nerd by any means. She is just busy with healthier interests.

Dude, you need to get out and play some sports or have some sort of active hobby. Otherwise, you're just setting yourself up to gain weight, increase your risk of heart disease, and deprive yourself of a great social life. So turn that computer off and go outside for some fresh air.

Don't panic to much, I think it is pretty normal, I have a daughter who is almost 14 and she lives on the computer chatting every chance she can get,

it is not normal for person of any age.
There is world beyond TV and movies and stuff. Go out and you will find more interesting things than this.

cause you need to be active..kids these days... i only get on right before i got to bed now really or unless i have absolutely nothing to do after i get off work.. your young enjoy your energy.. ask your dad if yall can do something together

Nowadays it is. Sadly so. When I was your age I went outside and actually did something. Mostly played baseball.

yes it is normal--maybe your dad does that, cuz he doesn't feel comfortable with the computer himself-why don;t you try to get him interested in it too..........................
