This Jess_Rain person has no idea what they are talking about. Your parents have absolutely nothing to do with your pay. When you get to boot camp, you will provide your current banking information if you choose to continue using that bank, or you will be given the opportunity to sign up with with another bank. Regardless of which route you take, you will fill out the necessary paperwork in order for your bi-weekly paychecks to be direct deposited into the bank account you choose for it to go into. As far as the amount, it depends on your rank when you join the military. Right now, the base pay for an E1 is 1203 before taxes. An E2 is 1458, and an E3 is 1534. That is the monthly amount you will make before taxes. So, as an E1, you will receive 600 dollars every 2 weeks, minus taxes. Hope this answers your question.

i don't think you get paid anything directly. i think it just goes into your military account they create for you. you get nothing and go nowhere while in bootcamp. they send a letter to your family often that tells them each time they put money into the account.
