When I search for yeker, I see many results from chinese and taiwanese sites. In my case, Yeker is an alternative spelling of the swiss family name, Jeker.

Thanks for your answers so far. If you do a search on Google you'll see that there is a Yeker Co. in Taiwan. There's also http://www.yeker.com -- what is this site about?

Lastly, I first noticed this when I did a search on Skype and found that most results for 'yeker' were in China or Taiwan.

A good part of the persons holding the name "Jeker" originate of a village in North-Western Switzerland called "Büsserach".

Perhaps the municipality would answer your questions about the meaning.
