Do people in England say "ring", and in America, "call" somebody?

Some in England Say "phone you" as well.... "ring you" is more common though.

Yes in England they would say :I will ring you" compared to us "I will call you".

also in America he is busy on the phone. In the UK he is engaged

"Ring" = English way

"Call" = American way
