So I went to the doctor and they told me I have Bronchitus and no strep. But my tonsils are swollen and I have a hard white spot on my right tonsil. If its not strep then what could it be. I looked online and they said that the spot shouldnt be hard.... so what else could it be.
Any one have any ideas?

No she just did a rapid strep. and it showed negative. I thinking it could of just showed negative due to taking amoxisillon about a week previous for a nasal infection.

the hard white spot on your tonsil is impacted food in one of the peritonsillar crypts that you have from all of the sore throats that you have had over the years...if you mash it, it will pop out like a whitehead and smell extremely nasty.
besides amoxicillin is not indicated for strep...it will not work, it is not good for bronchitis either, because bronchitis is viral and will not respond to antibiotics...you must have gotten better on your own
good luck

Tonsils are part of the lymph system, which aids the body in fighting off infections and "invasions" of foreign matter such as bacteria. One of the invaders can be Streptococcus, but there are many. Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchus, which is part of the air tube leading to your lungs.
