I haven't seen a copy of Vista yet, but the last bit of software I bought from Microsoft (Office 2005) They safegarded it from being copied on to more than one computer in a way that is hard to get around, & stay honest at the same time.

Here's what I predict will happen

Once the software is installed you will be allowed X amount of uses, or start-ups of the software before it must be registered with microsoft. If you don't register the software you will be locked out of it, & you will need to un-install it, & re-install it if you want to continue using it.
Once you begin the registration process the software will combine a set of unique codes that are embeded in your computers motherboard with some unique codes that are embeded in the microsoft programme, & apply an algorythm to create another unique code that will be displayed on your screen upon registration.
You will then report that code from your screen to Microsoft either via your internet connection or via telephone, & Microsoft will enter the code from your screen into their system which will do two things. a) it will make a record of which copy of their software went onto which computer (yours) & b) It will generate a new unlock code that is specific to your system, & Microsoft will provide that to you, and/or your computer. Then the registration process is complete.

Now if you try to register the same copy of the software on another computer, the numbers will change because of the different codes generated by the other computer, & Microsoft will detect the attempt to make the illegal copy.
In the event that you find yourself in the position where you legitimately need to re-install your software on the same computer that the software was registered on in the 1st place, you won't have to go through the registration process again because the unlock code stays with the computer. If the unlock code gets lost, Microsoft will then allow you to re-register the software again as long as you are putting the copy of the software on the exact same machine that you had it on in the 1st place.

So the answer to your question is NO, you can't.

No microsoft has a thing about installing the OS multiple times. It makes your copy illegal. However if you buy a windows ultimate edition i think microsoft has this limited licensing thing where you can get up to four copies of Home Premium for $50 dollars each.
