Has he tried Mitchum? Try the unscented, of course. My mum has really sensitive skin and she says it works for her and even though she bathes daily she only applies the deodorant every other day because it seems to last and doesn't irritate her skin. She likes the solid best, but says it is hard to find. The roll on is okay as long as it is unscented.
Alternatively, go to the health food store or your local pharmacy and ask for salt crystal. It is organic and all natural, you wet it and apply it under your arms then let dry. It is a deodorant only, not an antiperspirant so that may help your BF too.
Either way, check with the pharmacist or a dermatologist to see if they have any recommendations as well.
Good luck.

First off I'm a guy, however I have the same problem. I cant even use women's deodorants and they are supposed to be milder than Menes.
I went to the doctors (so many years ago) and they told me the if I use a deodorant that comes in the gel form that is the most mild one I can use. Its wet and slimy but I have never had any irritation from it.
Give gel a try and good luck

Most deodorants have aluminium in them, it is possible that is what is bothering him. You can purchase deodurants at Health Food or Organic Stores that do not have anuminium in them. That is what I use.
Or as one doctor says wash often with good soap and water, not antibacterial soaps or antiseptic ones. Use the pure soaps.

I have sensitive skin and I wear a non-scented antiperspirant. It was the perfume that was irritating my skin. And that's what a deodorant is, perfume in a stick or roller.

My husband has the same problem. The only one he can use is Tom's of Maine unscented. If you can't find it in your local drugstore, go online.
