I am debating whether to get Ultimate or Home Premium. Is it worth it to get all the features or are the features of Ultimate that Home Premium lacks not worth spending the extra $100? Remember this is just the upgrade package from Windows XP to Vista. Help me make my decision! *More those who have Vista or have done some good research.

Stop! Wait till they work all the bugs out of it. Preliminary software reviews are very bad. Same thing happened when XP came out...they release it, the population tests it out , provides feedback...then they release a decent version of it for less money! Reports also say that upgrading my not be the way to go because XP compatable systems may need beefing up in memory, speed, and video cards.

im using the enterprise edition since a month and i wouldn't recommend it YET.
It is very buggy and some software does not work.
You should check if your current PC will meet the video card requirements to run the eye candy stuff.
There are a bunch of new useless features in vista.. and they screwed the file browsing UI.
Just wait, or go linux + Beryl.

Right now I wouldn't upgrade. It's too new and the driver support isn't 100% plus there are going to be many many bugs found right away and a lot of patching to do. Plus there might be hardware upgrades you might have to make, prepare to spend some more $$$.

just get vista business. it's like in the middle of home and ultimate. ultimate just sounds hyped up but you won't use half the features on it and probably nether less business either.

If you really want Vista ,I say go for the bigger package(more features). If you're going to to it you might as well get it all.And not say later "I wish I had ..."

it sure does, but there are still some secutiry problems that couldn't be solved right away. i recommend you to wait some more time before there is no bug that might attack it.
