Start reading books. There are plenty of good ones out there. If you like playing tournaments read all the Harrington books. If you like playing ring games Sklanski is pretty much a must read.

Firs- get a good book - Sklansky would be a good start. I would also recommend checking out an online poker calculator such as Poker Pro calculator - it auto connects to your table and gives all of kind odds and stats as you play. It also analyzes your opponents as you play in real time. Finally t - practice, practice and practice

Read, read, read. And play, play, play. Playing online is "fun", but you don't really get a chance to learn how to read someone or figure out his/her tells. Join a league that hosts free hold 'em tournaments around your town. I play with the one I listed in the source section, and even though it's not for real money, you get a good taste of what it's like to play with real people in real situations. You'll have a blast AND definitely improve your game! Good luck!

Ive played on line.Don't anymore. seems like the games are fixed.Go play at a real casino for low limit.At least you know you are getting a fair deal.
