I'm a big kenmore fan.
Sears carries them.
I come from a long line of family who owns kenmores!
I like the Matag one too!!! it's top of the line!
Amana makes a nice one.
I love my double wide.
I have always had a bottom freezer.
Be sure when you buy it, that it fits in your space.
measure the how tall and wide and deep it is.
The Kenmores always fit!
It's a long term item, so be sure it has all the features you want.
Ice maker if you want it, water in the door, etc.
Make sure the freezer has a light.
do you want pull out shelves?
do you want glass shelves or racks?
Feb. and March are good times to buy.
Just watch the sales sheet in Sunday paper.
Go to at least 3 stores, like Best Buy, Sears, and Local Appliance Store. I think even Home Depot carries them now!
