What makes you think they don't? Do you know the religion of everyone in the mythology forum?
Why doesn't anyone give the real answer to this question? There ARE Christians in the mythology forum - just like there are people from other religions, too. The reason she is laughing and taking cover is because she asked the question to get a reaction.

Why take cover for a logical question. I choose to write here because the Ugaritic Gilgamesh Epic and babylonian Genesis are not,, I can only presume, areas of signigicant interest in the mythology section. I'll take a look though.

Because Christianity is still an active religion. Religons fall into the categories of myths and ledgends usually after they stop being practiced.
When all of the Christian heathens finally convert to Scientology then christianity will become considered a myth. (humor)

Your question is not really out of line --- The Bible gives the origin of Mythology to those who are discerning.
Mythology is about 'gods' who appear/materialize on Earth and do many things including but not limited to mating with "mortals" and having 'super' offspring such as Atlas.
The basis for all these myths lies in Satan and the angels that rebelled with him against God. Prior to the flood, they were able to materialize a fleshly body at will and of course they were able to portray themselves as 'Gods' to the people of the time.
The Nephilim proved to be in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of the true God continued to have relations with the daughters of men and they bore sons to them, they were the mighty ones [Heb., hag·gib·bo·rim′] who were of old, the men of fame.”—Ge 6:1-4.
The fame and dread of the Nephilim, it appears, gave rise to many mythologies of heathen people who, after the confusion of languages at the Tower of Babel, were scattered throughout the earth. Though the historical forms of the Genesis account are distorted and embellished, there is a common thread in these ancient mythologies in which gods and goddesses mated with humans to produce superhuman heroes and fearful demigods having god-man characteristics.

Because we don't believe in mythological beings. God is not a myth. I hope you meet Him before you MEET Him or you will understand a lot more clearly then...just a little too late.
EDIT: You're absolutely RIGHT Salt Flakes....there is no better place for the Atheists to be than here in this forum. They indeed do have a lot to learn.
