Logically it doesn't stand up that it was satan offering the fruit from the tree of good and evil. When you are in the womb, body(adam) and soul(eve) you are in a steady state environment where there are no opposites. The brain secretes pitosin into the mothers bloodstream, that causes birthing to begin and the baby is born out into the world of the knowledge of good and evil. In the womb the intellect is not challenged. When the baby leaves the womb it is hit with light and dark, hot and cold, up and down, vision, hearing, taste, smell and touch and the mind begins to work. Its a metaphor. Cmon. Whats so hard about that.

For the same reason he put it in the exact center of where the two people he "didn't" want to eat te fruit lived, without so much as a picket fence to keep them out.
Had they not eaten it, he couldn;t have spent the rest of history torturing and killing humanity without looking evil to everybody, even the few that think he is good now.
But more likely, when Moses (or whoever) made the fairy tale story up, they didn't think it through very well. They probably didn't think it would get passed around so much, and they certainly didn't consider that some people would take it serious.

Satan is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild. He had a binding contract to be included in the opening Act.
No fruit, no lines for Satan.
The Union would have closed down "The Garden of Eden".

the tree represented god's sovereignty. His right to rule.
the fruit was not tempting. That is a myth. Adam did not (when he was alone) go after it or long for it. However, if you read, Genesis. you will see that Satan went after Eve, first, ( due to her lack of experience no doubt) He put the question, to her: "is it really so, that God said you .must not ...................." that seed of doubt was planted, then a few verses later, he said, " you won't die, he knows if you eat it, you'll become powerful.
They chose to disobey the law.

God put the Tree of Kowledge in the garden of Eden. He told adam and eve not to eat of that fruit, because He wanted to see how obedient they were to Him. Its also a good example to our daily lives. God has given us so much, so how come we want the few things He says not to have....

That answer that "He wanted to test human beings" is a bit bizarre. He's God, isn't He? He had to test Eve to see what she'd do???
The fundamentalists get tangled up in this sort of contradiction a lot. Is God all-knowing and all-powerful? ..... Yes. Did He have to test Eve to see what she would do? ..... Yes.
Suzy: When the serpent did all that talking to Eve, what language did he speak? Whatever language he spoke, who wrote down what he said?

because the tree and the fruit themselves are not ONLY something to eat and look at but representative of TWO people who wanted to Save People. the tree of life is representative of Jesus but there is no mention of fruit, unless you read the book of abraham, or the book of mormon. the tree of knowledge is representattive of Satan, or Lucifer who didnt want salvation of men but wanted to be an absolute dictator.

Without the temptations provided by the fruit you wouldnt experience the sense of separateness that inspires or drives your return to Oneness.

The problem in that chapter is not that they ate the fruit of the tre of the knowledge of good and evil, but that God had to get them out before they also ate of the tree of life.
