I want a hotel near the Patpong night mkt,Platinum Fashion Mall and etc,,Pls adsvice as this will be my first trip.

As commented on Bangkok is a big shopping mall. The Samran Hotel is clean and pretty basic but is easy to get tuk tuk or sky train to just about anywhere. It is very near the MBK. the other place that I stayed was the prince palace Mahanak which is a bit more upmarket but not too expensive which is close the the river and near to china town and has multitudes of stalls right outside the door.Hope that helps . Came back two days ago and loved every minute of it but suggest you take very comfortable shoes with you. Remember your flight restriction weight!!!

I suggest the Pathuwan Princess Hotel. It's next to the MBK mall and within walking distance to other malls. It's also near a BTS station which takes you quickly to other shopping malls.
Staying near the Patpong night market is not recommended as there's always traffic jams around the area.

Well sira you should realize that there is a lot more shoping to do in BKK than just patpong, after living in bkk for 3 years i have never heard anyone say "shopping district" because all of bkk is one. Just stay somewhere near a sky train station so that you have access to most of the shopping places in BKK. Siam Square, MBK, Emporium, World trade center, Siam discovery, Siam Paragon, The Mall (every district) Sukhumvit Rd.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Erawan..beautiful hotel, excellent service. It has it's own shopping plaza; an entrance to the BTS station, it's only 1 BTS station away from patpong, and it's near many shops and malls.
