why do people send messages and then make it so you cannot reply to them. i am refering to apollo specificly and to all others. are you afraid of having an open dialog or are you that weak in your faith. i am a former christian who once believed blindly. i never even thought about not believing until i started reading the bible for myself and started to see all of the condradictions and bull that it was putting forth. i allow people to e-mail me so that we may have an open discussion about things. i welcome both those who agree and disagree with me as long as they are willing to have an open discussion. if you are not willing to do so then please do not e-mail me.

I have noticed that many people who are pure hateful do not either accept e-mail or they do not confirm their e-address and message cannot be sent.

I would suggest you to send a short message first just asking if that is a real e-address.

All people are not so capable of talking about issues like you are. And it is really irritating to get hate mail and then you cannot even respond. Sorry, you need to go through that..I guess that is the part of the deal here.

Perhaps I can shed a little light on the situation to help you see things in a more clear and understandable manner . You see, Yahoo Answers is a question and answer format site so theoretically one doesn't really need to add or to make available their email address simply because the format neither needs nor requires one to do so when posting either a question and or answer. It's quite simple really, you post a question and others will attempt to reply with an answer and in the end you decide which answer was best. So simple even a caveman can do it lol.

What you seem to be looking for is a forum where people like you and I and others like us can have an open
honest and meaningful dialog and exchange thoughts and ideas and such. Ironically there dose exist just such a place
where one could do exactly just that sort of thing. Now brace yourself and hold on to your hat because I'm about to tell you where it is . Ok you ready , are you sure , really really sure , its called a chat room and has been around nearly since the inception of the Internet. You should give it a try I'm sure it is exactly what you are looking for.

Whatever you have to tell yourself to get by.

You last question implied that you never read the New Testament, and that you are unfamiliar with Christianity, since you asked about something so basic. If someone claimed to be a former Engineer, buy he couldn't add or subtract, or if someone claimed to be a former Medical Doctor, but didn't know that blood circulates, then you have reason to believe that he is lying about his educational and professional background.

Sorry, but your story about being a former Christian is too full of contradictions for me to believe you.

You have exercised your free will to choose what to believe.

I must say that God doesn't require blind faith. You have to open your eyes first.

You also must understand that Life before Christ(Old Testament) showed no hope of forgiveness or salvation outside of religion.

I don't want to email you, this place is fine to discuss such matters.

I am sorry that you chose to walk away from God. I don't know what contradictions that you are speaking of.

I read the Bible everyday. I see no contradictions. I see the old and new covanent bewteen God and man... and I am glad that I am living free, forgiven in the new covenant... In Christ... in grace... in purpose.

I respectfully disagree with you.

God doesn't require blind faith. But he requires some faith. Mustard seed size is good enough.

Read this from the Bible to see my point.

"It is by grace that we have been saved, through faith, and this is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast."- Ephesians 2:8-9

Good works won't save you, faith in Christ as your savior will.

Christians do good works because they are forgiven, not in order to be forgiven.

Christ will never leave you nor forsake you.

Though we are faithless, He remains faithful.

Christianity is not a 90 day trial. It is not religion, it is not church. It is not good deeds.

It is a personal, eternal relationship with God via Christ.

It grows as much or as littel a the time you put into it.

God still remains, Christ stands waiting. Your view doesn't change the fact that they exist.

You don't have to believe that breathing is neccesary to live... but it is.

I am praying for you, as a fellow doubter.

I fear that you never really came to Christ... because if you did, you wouldn't talk the way you are now...

Ask Christ to make himself known to you. God will njot sit back and let you wlak away... but he won't be your magic genie either.

He will not proform magic tricks and test for you or any other to prove Himself to you.

You must believe in Him... by what you see around you... by the evidence, the finger prints he left behind.

You must believe in Him, otherwise... there would be no chioce...

That is why He requires faith. If he didn't he wouldn't be God. Any one can do magic tricks.

-A Christain,

People are scared of being challenged because they might learn that they have been wrong about something that they believe to be fundamentally correct.
It's easier to give pot-shots at others and run than to face the reality that others could be right about something, even if it's a small detail.

please feel free to email me my friend, i am sorry it has turned out like that, i have had some friends myself that have questioned their faith but it was mainly because they didnt have any structure in their study. Perhaps if you are interested again, there is a good study that takes you verse by verse through the bible with a great man of God who is now passed Dr J Vernon Mcgee. I hope you give this a try you can download all of the 5yr study on here

They want to have the last word so to say and make it seem like they are right. :-)

I'd like to try to read the original translations in hebrew/greek/etc, maybe it would be somewhat different than the translations we have today. There are a few words that weren't translated as accurately but you can still get the whole picture, but it just seems more difficult.

Wait, lemme get out my memo pad.....

do...not...email...crow james...unless...you...leave...the door....open...for...further....discussion.

I know I'm being sarcastic, I'm sorry. I couldn't resist.

But, on a serious note, you've made it clear how you feel, and I doubt you're really looking for open discussion from someone like me anyway. So I guess just have a good night.

Those that do that are often the ones who want to be heard only and fear a response. It is bad etiquette and annoying.

for the same reason that when you ask a challenging question that makes sense and make christians realize for a split second their rationality is remedial they call you stupid and grow fangs and their eyes start to glow..

i will have an open discussion with anyone! as i like debates.
