I'm planning on getting a lemon tattoo (not sure where), but am kind of worried about what the yellow will look on my skin. I've got pretty fair, light olive colored skin. Any good or bad experiences with a predominantly yellow tattoo? It will have a black outline with lettering as well.

yelow will show up but it may need quite alot of circles to get it to show up nice and brite. don't expect it to be very lemonny until after the touch up heals.

Since you have lighter skin it will show up well, but you may need to get a touch up after it heals to have a true lemon yellow color. As long as you take care of the tattoo it won't fade as much as some people says it will.

I have a yellow daisyish/ sunflowerish thing on my foot and the petals are yellow, I have had it for a year and i actually think that the yellow looks better now. Just make sure to put an spf 30 sunscreen on it whenever it will be exposed to sunlight or a tanning bed once your tattoo is fully healed. Good luck though, it sounds like it will turn out cute!

It depends on your skin tone. My step sister and I got the same tattoo, at the same time, with the same ink. I'm really pale, and the yellow showed up great on my skin; but my she's got a dark tan, so the yellow showed up, but it doesn't look as vibrant as mine does.

if you have fair skin the yellow will show up great. the lighter the skin the brighter the yellow. a good tattoo artist will be able to make it pop. good luck!

With the tattoo being yellow it might start looking really bad after a few years, the color will fade and only the black outlining will show try a different color something a little darker

yellow is one of the colors that fade the most when getting a tattoo but if you keep it out of sun and take good care of it you will be fine.

My tattoo is mostly yellow with some orange and it's about 8 years old, still bright and pretty like it was when new!
