go to www.strutmasters .com they sell a non air conversion strut set for all four wheels for 479.00 it eliminates the air system completely. they also just sell front or back . if you replace the air strruts you are looking at about 279.00 per strut .I generally suggest and sell this conversion to my customers because there is so much that goes wrong on the factory air system .check them out you will be surprised

You have struts with the air susapension i would suggest as someone else did to switch to a non-air suspension if you don't do the work yourself there is more to go wrong then just the air bags your levels, pump, switches and it just goes on and on so if you don't do the work yourself switch away from the air suspension.

Hy, in step with my very own experience with a ninety 3 mark viii, the main substantial motives are:A---- mechanical mess ups :a million - puncture of the bag, (very uncommon)... 2 - heavy utilization of the air bag / the mileage... and/or fatigue of the rubber bag ,a sixteen years piece a rubber is quite previous ...it starts with superb cracks, small leaks , enormous leaks , and ultimately a rupture of the bag wall ...happened to my motor vehicle ...bear in ideas , the thickness of an air bag is below 3 mm (7/sixty 4''). 3 - water in the gadget can harm some areas: the relationship between rubber bag and metallic areas (on mark viii the lower back suspensions helps are plastic, i assume is the comparable with continental ) many times the 1st ones to bypass are the front struts, because of the fact are greater complicated (the shocks are interior the air bag, the seal area is on shocks who're metallic and might rust ) you're able to determine the entire gadget till now changing the luggage. B---- digital gadget/analyzing failure: a million - solenoid or o-ring failure (is a electric powered valve commanded by using the suspension pc who enable the air interior the bag from the compressor) 2 - severe sensor failure, the sensor is sending a incorrect sign to pc who can deflate (putting off the air from the bag) and deliver the blunders message.3 - suspension pc blunders or failure... I DO advise to no longer rigidity the vehicle WITH undesirable SUSPENSIONS !!! many times the lower back air luggage are far greater low-value than the front and is a might desire to to get replaced as a pair. if the entire suspension gadget is broken must be very costly to repair or replace. in my view i made the turn on coil spring (prevalent ones value me 4 hundred$ shipped for front and lower back, I even have have the flexibility to alter them myself, so I saved a lot ), to repair the unique suspensions grew to become into for me thank you to costly for areas. you may seek on line for "suspension conversion kit" on your motor vehicle type in case you p.c. to made the change.
