Have you ever heard a person described as a leech? Such the blood right out of you? Leeches do that. I've seen kids come in from swimming in a creek/lake near Dallas, who found leeches stuck on them. The leeches stick to the skin and give off something that dissolves tissue, and they drink the tissue.
Leeches were used a long time ago on wounds, and recently are in use again. They are applied to wounds that won't heal; the leeches absorb dead tissue down to healthy tissue, and then are removed. They allow the wounds to heal when they won't otherwise. Sounds bad, but if it won't heal otherwise, the leeches speed up the healing!

of course......
teenageers see something on tv that looks cool and they do it. Nevermind the ACTUAL message behind it all. jeeze....
anyways......
Leeches are not as dangerous as many would believe them to be. But you need to be careful when handling leeches. There are different types of leeches that have different organisims and secrete different types of enzymes. Some have teeth and multiple jaws and some just have a mouth and eat their prey hole. European leeches are the ones used for medicinal purposes. There is also a proper way of removing leeches without causing more harm to yourself or the leech.
There is no feeling of uphoria or a rush when using leeches...
so i dunno what these people are looking for except for a stupid award.
Man... i dunno what these people are thinking.....

SLOMING is suprisingly common and is becoming quite popular in schools, however, way not safe.

It's a way of cutting, really. Leeches suck the blood out of you.

Definitly tell a teacher. It's quite serious. They can get him to the principal or school counselor!
