I had super dry skin a few weeks ago. I kept putting lotion on about every half hour, and in a couple days it was gone. If it gets worse like eczema, try hydrocortizone, and if that doesnt help you can get a percription from the doctor.

Sadly sometimes nothing will work (nothing works for me). However my 20 month old daughter has eczema. I use Aveeno wash/soap (hard to find sometimes) and Aveeno lotion. It helps but she still has outbreaks but that is how eczema is. What you could try is right after bath or shower (not using soap with scents) make sure you just pat dry (not rub). Then apply reasonable thick coat of lotion (nothing scented) within a few minutes of drying off. You want to be slightly damp so your skin soaks in the lotion/moisture. Be sure to bathe daily especially your face area. Also if you wear makeup (can't remember if you were guy or girl) be sure to use something for dry skin if you can find it. If you follow this exactly I think it would improve. It may not completely be perfect but it should be better and not as noticeable. This was what our dermatologist told us for our daughter's skin condition. Oh and it may take a week or 2 to see any kind of results. And also if you are a teen then acne is just going to be normal but if you follow through with what I wrote it may not be as bad.

Good question!

First things first. The skin is a reflection of your health. The best things to start with are drinking a bunch more water, trying to take some fish oil or flax oil vitamins (you can get these @ Target or Costco). The next thing is a great overall moisturizer. Cetaphil is inexpensive and their dry skin cream and lotion work great - you can get it at both at the drugstore or Costco. Good luck!

Here are some sequential tips:
1) Cleanse the area you want to moisturize with cleansing milk.
2) Tone the skin with a good toner suitable for your skin, tomato pulp is a good natural toner.
3) With cosmetics, you can try Vaseline total moisture as it contains soya protein
Naturally, you can try the milk cream as its the best natural moisturizer. Before every 10mins of bath just apply it all over your body, you will not believe it will give irresistible softness.BEFORE ALL THIS, KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE.........

Use a gentle exfoliant product. A DIY alternative is to use hand fuls of sugar while in the shower. Then moisturise with a thick body lotion,Nivea or Vaseline Intensive care. Palmers Cocoa Butter is also really soothing.

Check at your local pharmacy. They have a ton of lotions, however, finding your ideal moisturizer can be a challenge. I cannot tell you which is the best because people have different skin types, you will need to ask around and just try a few. If all else fails consult a dermatologist.

Try hydrating your skin from the inside - drink lots and lots of water. I had really dry skin that used to break out in red, itchy rough patches, but drinking 2 liters of water every day made a hell of a difference.

It's tough on your bladder and you'll feel really bloated at first, but keep at it and you'll see results in no time :-)

Mash 1 tablespoon of banana and add it to 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply this to the dry area and let it dry for a while. Then, wash it off with cold water.
