every one has they're own reason for believing or not believing.

I personally do believe in God myself but I don't question those who don't. Its bascically a matter of opinion and no one really knows 100% without a doubt whether or not there is a God.

As the saying goes.... seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing. Its unfortunate that some people cannot open their minds and hearts to the possiblity that there is a God up there watching over us.

So, in answering your question - people who do not believe are usually just closed minded. If they want to believe that when we die there is simply nothing and that miracles can't happen - let them.

Personally, I can't believe that there could be any such 'One' God to anything in the world, even if there was proof that God existed. I was not raised in the traditional religious ways a lot of other people were, so I never was able to share that experience, through lack of knowledge. I also can't believe that everyone would think that the Bible was written by disciples writing about the word of God, when it could very well have been written by people who have an active imagination, writers like today, who just decided to continue a story on that they liked so much over the course of over a thousand years, and why anyone could just accept things that can't be verified without a doubt.

Because he doesnt exist dear. Atheists are the only people in this world who have no invisible means of support. It hasnt been proven to us! And why I dont just follow with faith??? Well, the only thing that makes life endurable in this world is human love, and yet, according to Christianity, that is the very thing that we are not to have in the other world.

We are going to be so taken up with Jesus and angels, that we shall care nothing about our brothers and sisters that have been damned. We shall be so carried away with the music of the harp that we shall not even hear the wail of father and mother.

Such a religion is a disgrace to human nature.

By the way, I presume you are referring to the Christian God, because the christian god is the only god that has the same name as his meaning....like naming a cat "Cat".

I believe in God. I also happen to believe in the Goddess. I think everyone follows the path that best suits them and some believe in one God, some believe in a duality divinity and some believe in themselves only.

The idea of God is not concrete enough for a lot of people. Many people need "proof" of things in order to believe in them. Kind of a sad futile little life if you ask me, but go figure.

People need to realize that nothing in the world is really proveable. That's what is so exhilarating about spirituality...It's faith in both yourself and a higher power (or powers as the case may be) and you don't need proof. You just know.

Because some people require some evidence before believing in incredible claims like the existence of a deity.

Why don't you believe in the tooth fairy?

There is no evidence that there is one. It isn't rational or reasonable to believe in things without any evidence to back it up. You would be stuck with hundreds of thousands of gods and everything else that human imagination.

Not believing in god, is the same as not believing in Odin, Zeus, Ra, Hera, The Great Spirit, Osiris, The Flying Spaghetti Monster and all the others.

Simply believe in what others believe without any investigation, research is 'blind faith', it is just be religious.

A true spiritual development is to study, contemplate, even challenge the teaching with TONNES OF QUESTIONS when ones is in doubts.

After all, who can be THAT SURE the scripture are not lost, misinterpret, etc after hundred and thousand years history.
