He atoned for them. while somebody is in debt, that debt must be paid. If the lender forgives the debtor, which skill the lender has chosen to repay the debt. And it's going to be paid. The penalty for sin is dying--the two actual and non secular. Jesus' dying atoned for our sins and freed us from having to pay by using religious dying. Jesus' resurrection certain that actual dying does no longer have an enduring result on us. until eventually now Jesus got here people had to compensate for his or her sins with non everlasting sacrifices of suitable lambs and calves. those sacrifices purely coated sin, very like a scented candle or room spray might conceal a bad smell. via fact the sacrifices have been non everlasting, they had to be repeated. Jesus, the suitable Lamb of God, grew to become into the everlasting sacrifice. as a exchange of masking up the undesirable smell, He bumped off its source. it might take an prolonged time to describe the purpose of Christ's dying intimately, so enable me to direct you to Hebrews 9 and 10 as a exchange. those chapters are a ideal clarification of precisely why Christ got here to earth and died on the circulate.

By dying and giving up his eternal life Jesus paid the ultimate price for your sins.

I'm not christian but I keep an open mind. You should too.

Because God requires a perfect sacrifice to forgive sin, no matter how good man thinks he is even one sin causes him to fall short. That is why God had planned from the beginning to send Jesus to be the savior and pay the price for sin by living a perfect life and being the sacrifice for us so that if we believe on him and ask forgiveness of our sins and for him to be the lord and guide of our life in Jesus we will be redeemed to God and have eternal life in heaven. Wont you accept him today friend.

Well, I believe that Jesus was sent to die on the cross and took upon Himself all of the sin in the world so that we would be saved. We all sin, but by the grace of God, we can repent and not live in bondage or debt to the sin we commit. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb and was the only perfect person, making His sacrifice our chance of eternal life if we believe in Him.

because it is a very sobering thing to watch something die, and even more so to watch someone die. To make a spectacle of it, triple that. People don't forget traumatic events so quickly. If you were a hunter, perhaps you would understand. A life, so that you may live, for winter is long, and summer is brief.

To understand this, you must start at the beginning with our first parents, Adam and Eve. They were created perfect by God, living in His presence and glory. Evil entered the world when they fell victim to Satan's deception. This sin was a death blow that immediately cut them off from God and sentenced them to die. The reason for this is that nothing imperfect can survive in the presence of God. Therefore, Satan's trick insured that we would be destroyed. To remedy this, God made a promise to Adam and Eve, and to their succeeding generations, that He would deliver them from this evil and restore us to His graces. This was done by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His perfect blood took the place of our blood, saving us. It is the most perfect, glorious gift to mankind for all time.

I hope this helps. God bless.

I don't mean to be a ReligionBasher (again) but I really it's a whole bunch of bull. Christians use that whole "ohhh Jesus died for our sins so we must now behave in order to get into heaven" thing to lure people into their religion. I am not saying that every aspect of Christianity is wrong and fanatic, but all "devoted Christians" should OPEN THEIR EYES and stop being so obsessed with the Magic as opposed to the philosophy.

Well, because it wasn't the death of just anyone. Jesus was God incarnate. Jesus (God's son) chose to suffer and die the same way that we all suffer and the same way that we all die. He not only dealt with physical pain, but felt humiliation, doubt, betrayal, and a whole host of other HUMAN emotions and pain. God, by living through these human experiences, did this to be closer to us. By becoming one of us, by understanding how weak humans really are, He saved us.

Because God is a God of justice, he could not let our sins go unpunished. He had to take out his wrath on someone so that we would not have to be judged for our sins. Jesus paid the penalty so that we could be set free from judgement. He was the scapegoat so that we could be set free. We are declared innocent.

sacrificing ones self for the greater good his hard to understand sometimes. if you could end war by your death would you do it? jesus let himself be crucified in order to make himself into a marty thus villianizing romans and solidify his followers into a stronger group.and so he save everyone by creating Christianity.
I'm an atheist so thats my non religious take on the idea.
