It's all about privacy! You need not have everybody in the house knowing your business.

Expect to be under the microscope. no matter how much they seem to like you no one is ever good enough for your kid. i know there are a few nice in-laws out there. But most are disappointed with the person their kid picked. So be one your toes, do what you can to help around the house, complement them. Be very nice to your wife, and try not to stay more than 3 nights, cuz fish and visitors smell after 3 days or so I have heard. I think this is the most important advise don't stay too long, everyone gets tired of there guest after 3 days.

No, I prefer having my own space. I don't like having people in my face all the time. Beside staying with an in-law means they can control your marriage or relationship, it can cause a lot of tension.

I prefer not to live with my parents or my in laws. I think that both me and my husband are old enough to take care of ourselves, so we don't need mommy and daddy living with us telling us what we need to do. I do think that they are very important in our lives though. Cut that cord and take on the responsibility!

I dn't need to live with anybody. I'm capable of living by myself. If the inlaws disagree, that's their problem not mine.
