I stand my position, a drug that has no patents will NOT be researched by drug companies!!
People need to spread the news and let charity take over from there.

Mitochondria has the ability to kill malignant cells.
When cancerous cells shut off mitochondria, they become 'immortal' and do not die even if they are malignant.

Did you see the line in the next to last paragraph?
"The next step is to run clinical trials of DCA in people with cancer. "
Apparently it has never once cured a person with cancer. It is at this point theoretical.
Try being a little more skeptical.

Here's a more objective story:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16776882/site/newsweek/
My question is, why did the cells die when the mitochondria were turned back on?
And drug companies don't need to RESEARCH drugs that already exist. They just need to pump them out. Believe me, some enterprising drug company will produce the drug if it really does cure cancer. People will clamor for it.

Sounds like a pile of poo. There is now a vaccine that will stop you getting cervical Cancer if you take the vaccine between the ages of 9 and 26. This will be offered for free in Canada for every female between those ages.

Yes, I read that today. It is hard to tell what is really going on given the fact that a lot of money is to be made by there not being a cure. On the otherhand, suppose it is true..well what the he..is being done about it?

I'm sorry to burst your bubble and everyone here will probably hate me, but don't believe everything you read. If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS! The fact of the matter is that scientists don't truly know what causes cancer, so there really is no way to cure it...yet.

its not a str8 up cure for cancer but they do have vacines that lower your risk for some virus born strands and some procedures to slow down the cells from spreading as fast.

Not QUITE a cure. Reread the story hun. And this still needs much testing before it is put to general use.

Wow, this is very interesting! It's not exactly a cure as of yet, but it's defiantly a step forward! Very exciting, thank you!

If you think this is a cure for cancer, you obviously didn't read the entire article.
