I like to give to the organization that makes the most impact across multiple areas of the community. I contribute my donations and time to my local volunteer center.

Volunteer centers work hard to match local community resources with all of the diverse non-profit organizations within your community. There are so many organizations that benefit from this. My volunteer center works with over 800 non-profits that benefit from additional volunteers, and the community volunteers benefit from the fact that the center screens agencies and projects as well.

i usually give to those that are close to my heart. the veterans, b/c my husband and bro were both in vietnam, is one i choose every year. make a wish foundation also seems like a wonderful organization. its pretty hard to deny terminal kids a wish. choose whats best for you.
