I'm not just talking about Mexicans. I think people have a right to come here. I'm talking about making sure we aren't letting murderers, terrorists and other criminals come into our country to contribute to our problems rather than to a productive society. But from what I see in the Media, and hear in conversations, I'm in the minority.

I'm 100% with you on this one. I live in HOuston and just tonight there was a stroy on the news about how two Iraqi terrorists had illegaly crossed the borders and were caught in houston....that really freaks me out.
And its not just that, our country is in a 4-8 TRILLION dollar debt TRILLION, that is absurd and with all of the undocumented immigrants that could be paying taxes we are losing more and more money everyday.

You aren't alone but Congress is using the past election as an platform to every thing that comes before them.....
To hear the leading Democrats talk on news shows or in the paper it is a constant chant of ....
We were elected to change the direction of the war
We were elected to change immigration reform
We were elected to change minimum wage
We were elected to change student loan interest rates
What they don't get is they weren't elected to do anything but give Bush a pain in the proverbial rear end by people that were tired of all the media coverage about the bad sides of Iraq.
Many moderate Democrats campaigned against amnesty for illegal immigrants , they campaigned as gun owners and they know the voters are watching .
Time will tell if they go with their constituents or business as usual in Washington.

Most of the people without health insurance would have it now if it wasn't for the illegals: Why:: since we "have" to admit anyone into an emergency room no matter what people who don't speak English (or pretend) go to the emergency room for help without paying a dime. They give out false info, etc..
Now, here is the real kick-in-the-butt: they will go to the E.R. just to find out if they are pregant (and high five everyone in the waiting room when they find out) -- no joke people.

I agree with you, my husband and I both work he works two jobs.Him and I can"t afford a hummer but it seems every other mexican has one. Or a brand new suv . Tell me it is from cheep labor. My daughter has her own bussiness and still can"t afford medical insurance for my two grandsons and no one can help. But if you don"t speak english the state lays out the red carpet. People should start looking around. I went to a doctors appt. they brought me to the examination room while I was waiting I look around everything was in spanish nothing in english. I am in America or I thought I was.

No you're not the only one. I believe that illegal immigration makes it more difficult for Americans to receive fare compensation for their labor. I have to disagree with your assertion that "people have a right to come here" though. No one has the right to go to another country; so no one has a right to come to this country.
